I had that same experience a few years ago when I moved way out into the country from a big city (not London, but Dallas). You totally take for granted things like 24 hour convenience stores and any establishment that will stay open after the sun goes down….
This would be awesome if you could really do this. Picking out a good pumpkin is hard work.
Every time I see one of those super flat pumpkins, this is what I want to do!
Usually I find a great one that was laying on its side and became too flat.
Haha, that pumpkin had a flat!
Much better! 🙂
Who wants a flat pumpkin?
Now that’s a neat trick!
More cartoon physics!
There you go! That’s much better. 😉
I agree!
It seems like these days inflatable decorations are in vogue. Giant rolling black cats and snowmen. They’re a menace.
Inflatable figures are a year-round holiday scourge!
carving a pneumatic pumpkin into a Jack-o-lantern would be a delicate operation. Using helium might create a air traffic control problem.
Pumpkins should stay grounded, unless they are being thrown by a Headless Horseman, then that’s ok.
That can’t save them from getting all moldy and saggy.
What a drag it is getting mold.
Don’t over-pump them though…that could get messy.
What out for the seed shrapnel, too!
They are Nike pumpkins!
All they needed was a little encouragement to reach their full potential.
I bet all pumpkin farmers wished they had Gorr working for them!
And he’s good digger, too!
That dawg has articulate paws! :`) Such great ideas for cartoons, Mark!
I say the same thing about my pug. He can actually grab things with his front toes, like when he’s chewing on a bone.
I kept seeing all these flat pumpkins on porches and thought they needed some air, and “voila!,” a gag was born. So happy you like it, Jande!
Pump-kins. It actually took me a minute. Nice!
Emphasis on the “pump”! That was the only title that would work, actually…
Does this work for turkeys, too?
I’d like to see someone try!
Just don’t over inflate. Exploding pumpkins can be messy.
Call in the pumpkin bomb squad! I imagine the mess would cover about half a block!
Way beter. 🙂
It’s amazing what a little hot air will do!
Better than anything Hallmark could do! Very sweet.
Sweeter than pumpkin pie? Thanks, Aidan!
Hmmm……if that worked there are so many Vegetable competitions I’d win….oh god I’ve lived out of the city for too long!

I wanna see them explode from overpumping
They’re gonna need some protective eye gear.
We are Hanz and Franz and we are here to POMP. YOU OP! Love it!
They are Pawz and Clawz, but they will do the job! Thanks, Warren!
I’ll have to try that on my tomatoes next season. 🙂
Tomato puffs!
