Awww……. Time for the change in seasons. Sweet. 🙂
Hey Mark, I just noticed your cast has grown with the introduction of the Firefly. Then I realized the bird (without a name) has been in your comic a year now starting with Gorr’s Leaf Bandit. Boy, how time flies!
Yes, fall is right around the corner — the season of the dreaded Leaf Bandit! A new character can help you recharge your batteries a bit and take a break from the regular crew to work with new ideas. Both the bird and the bug were just incidental characters I brought back for an encore. Funny how these things have a life of their own…
That is very kind of you, Kevin, I’m happy you like it. I highly recommend readers head over to your site Another Comic Strip and bask in cartoon wonder!
It’s funny how the changing from summer to fall feels kind of sentimental. I guess because there’s such a dramatic transformation between the two. The color, and the falling and dying leaves signal the coming of winter and bring a sense of sweet loss, somehow.
You really captured the moment, Mark!
Heading towards my favorite time of year, Tim!
Wake me up when September ends.
Ok, I’ll set the alarm for 12:00 am on Oct. 1…
Ah, beautiful colors of fall and a peaceful sunrise moment to reflect on the fun and frantic days of summer.
Wonderful artwork, Mark! Simply beautiful and peaceful! 😀 I was driving to work this week and was in awe at the amazing sunrise and sky.
Thanks, Joseph! You can feel the season change coming! I’m seeing leaves just pouring out of trees these days. Won’t be long ’til fall is upon us!
I agree, Mark. But I think the trees with leaves pouring out is due to Gorr’s three day relief of number one! :OP
That might explain all those yellow leaves…!

Don’t they know you won’t catch any fish unless your toes are in the water?
Maybe that’s why I never caught many fish off a dock…!
For some reason, I really like this shot. It’s like a cool-down time for everybody.
Thanks, Kim! My favorite part of the year is coming up fast! Thought I’d throw a little Indian Summer your way!
Wow, what could be better than that??
No mosquitos!
Sittin by the dock of the boy. Zombie boy.
Passing time, no better way…
Wow, peace and quiet!
And no word balloons!
Nice work Mark – per the norm 🙂

Awww – You sure that’s not just the booze talking? 🙂 Thanks for the endorsement Mark!
I resemble that remark, Kevin! Lol, keep doing what you’re doing, it’s good stuff!
Perfect ending to a perfect day for Zombie Boy and the gang!
Winding down…. until the next post!
Ahhh, that’s the life!
I wish it could stay late summer for a whole summer!
I can feel the warmth of the sun!
Maybe you should step back a bit from the monitor…lol. Seriously, thanks for the nice words. I really wanted to catch that late summer feel.
Well you did!
Never has showing me backsides been so sweet!
It’s a side I don’t often draw, too!
Aww, Mark. So beautiful! It makes me feel calm and serene and just a little melancholy just to look at that one. <3

Ahhh…. relaxing & beautiful. By the colour of the water I think they may have taken a pee in the lake. Maybe that’s why it’s called thera-pee
Their feet are not in the water, but I sure hope that’s not the reason why!
That’s great Mark, perfect end to a lovely summer.
Thanks, Paul! Texas summers are brutal, so I’m looking forward to some lower temperatures!
Very nice.
Thanks, Brandon! Summer is cooling off down here in Texas, a huge relief!
