Just say “snackie” to Pooj and you’ll get that exact expression, Joseph! I hope your sinus passages are prepared for the allergen onslaught that is the beginning of fall!
Nice Mark. It takes me a solid week to turn out a comic, by which time you’ve already produced 3 great efforts. I am but a young Padawn to your Yoda. Great strip again!
It’s all a matter of being consistent, Kevin. Quality over quantity is also something to consider. I’d rather see one good strip then three mediocre ones, to be honest. I bust my chops to get my three strips done each week, and I take it very seriously. Cartooning is a lonely business and it keeps you from having a normal life like everyone else, but this is something you have to accept if you want to do this kind of work. I’m glad you like my strips and that you appreciate all the effort I put into it. It ain’t easy, I can tell you that, but I’m committed to it!
Gorr is a pure cartoon character, so I have to express him entirely with pose, attitude, and facial expression. Which makes him, of course, one of the funniest characters to draw!
That’s the best crop circle yet! 😉
At least the most resplendent one!
Cute.
Thanks, Tom!
Awwww. The softer side of Gorr. 🙂
I still think he might eat that butterfly if he had the chance…
If only life could be as symmetrical as that!! 🙂
Lopsided is my way of life, Chris!
That is one talented pooch.
And he’s self-taught, too!
Lovely strip, Mark!:)
Dog and Butterfly was a Heart album, wasn’t it?
It certainly was, Jerry! That song was running through my mind when I was drawing this, and now it’s stuck in a loop in there, lol…
How meta of Gorr!
Take him out to the Nazca Desert and see what happens, Michael!
So, who gets the artistic credit for the public work of art, Gorr or the butterfly?
I didn’t notice a © so it might be in public domain, Pat!
This one has my funny bone all [ready for it?] aflutter! [smirk]
Oh, you say that to all the cartoonists, Jynksie! Lol, thanks!
That butterfly had an agenda! An agenda for propaganda!
Buy Butterfly bonds!
What a good heart.
And a keen designer!
Aww! So sweet, Mark! Love this! You really know how to bring out the happy child in us. <3
I always liked to share my toys when I was a kid, Jande :-)!
Art imitating life or life imitating art? Either way, Gorr creates a great butterfly!
Gorr is an outsider artist.
My nose stuffed up as I read this, Mark! Allergies acting up again.
Haha! That’s one smart butterfly to create such a huge crop-circle! Now Gorr has his very own gigantic butterfly to roll in!
Mark, the first panel is SO adorable! Pooj must be quite the model! 😀
Just say “snackie” to Pooj and you’ll get that exact expression, Joseph! I hope your sinus passages are prepared for the allergen onslaught that is the beginning of fall!
Ah Ha! So Butterflies do fly in a butterfly pattern.
You would too if you were stuck for weeks in a cocoon, Chris!

It’s one of the reasons I follow your comic. Never disappointed and know well the work it must take. Good on you!
Thanks so much, Kevin! Those words make it all worth doing.
Gorr’s gonna be disappointed when he finds out it doesn’t taste like butter! 🙂
The pursuit is a lot tastier.
I’m old enough to remember that as an album title!
Maybe Gorr could hire himself out to beautiful fields.
And it’s a beautiful song, too! Just point Gorr in the right direction, and stand back!
Dog and Butterfly…wasn’t that the name of a song?? Oh wait, looking up yes it was haha
It was performed by Heart, written by Ann and Nancy Wilson. Great song!
This is great. Man, that character has such good movement and gesture.
Gorr is a pure cartoon character, so I have to express him entirely with pose, attitude, and facial expression. Which makes him, of course, one of the funniest characters to draw!
Butterfly in the sky!
Gorr can go twice as high!
And twice is always nice!
I wonder if Gorr feels manipulated & used???
Any opportunity to trample flowers is never a problem for Gorr!
