If you don’t know Crispin Wood, that is something you need to rectify immediately. This comic kingpin kicks up the laughs at Small Blue Yonder, a spot on the web where he mines gems of comic hilarity seven days a week. His style is instantly recognizable, there’s an elegance to his line and color that could pass for top illustration. If he should ever collect his work into one volume, I’m sure you’d want it up on your shelf amidst some of the greats like Al Jaffee, Harvey Kurtzman and Don Martin. Crispin is also a professional animator, and his talent with movement shines in this special animated gif he created, inspired by my recent animated strip. Hey Crispin, thanks for this and for being such an inspiration!
