TWXXXD Zombie Boy Interview

The Brothers Oliver, Brandon and Colin, granted me some time on their podcast to fill the air with talk about Zombie Boy, the webcomics community, and Jack Kirby. The two gracious and talented Canadian siblings behind TWXXD, MF Office, and Talking with Toys, sat down with me via Skype and we chatted erroneously about many things, not the least of which is that well-known Canadian hospitality. Oh, how thrilled I was to receive this drawing in the mail by my good friend Oskar van Velden! The creative genius behind Mojo Comics and the lovable Mojo, Ben, and Merv is a talented and masterful cartoonist with a vivacious line and wit. Zombie Boy by Miguel Hernandez

I’m quite proud to present this unique image of the Ju-Juvenile by Miguel Hernandez! Miguel (Masta8) is one of the founders of Pen Hits the Pad, and co-creator of the webcomic Alpha Ballistic, along with writer Corwyn Collier. Miguel is the penciler, inker and colorist. The third member of Pen Hits the Pad is Miguel’s sister, Michelle Hernandez (Celestial7), the creator and writer of the soon-to-be-released Cat Daycare.

Alpha Ballistic is the story of Lee Legend, an extraordinary man who juggles the responsibilities of a middle class family man with the overwhelming task of bringing order to a city in chaos. Alpha Ballistic is updated every Thursday, and these guys know how to rock some comic book panels with their adrenalin-inducing mix of action, great design and color!

Obscure Gentlemen Interview

Those magnanimous creators who have banded together to unleash their unique form of mayhem upon the world twice a week, a.k.a The Obscure Gentlemen, were gracious enough to engage me in an interview, which you can read here.

Dawn Griffin’s amazing Zorphbert and Fred always manages to squeeze the finest comedy juice out of any topic with wit and great art, to boot! Dawn is an uber-talented creator on numerous levels from children’s books and illustrations to her popular and cherished faux-dog aliens, Zorphbert and Fred. Dawn is also a tireless supporter of the webcomics community, a co-chair of the Webcomic Alliance and a major contributor as well. Dawn is an example I hold up to what being a webcomicker of note is all about, and I’m extremely proud to have the chance to draw her lovable characters.
