This year marks the first anniversary of that gruesome twosome, The Hat and Fat, and to help comemmorate this hallowed occasion I threw together this ghastly little piece for EW Crowe. There’s nothing online to compare with this pair of deliciously malicious miscreants, who post on Mondays and Thursdays at The Hat and Fat. As an added bonus, I share the page with guest art by Tim Green, the bitingly funny creator of Vinnie the Vampire! Happy birthday, The Hat and Fat!

What could be funnier than friends with bloomers? Cartoon Czar crazyman, Jon Esparza is the instigator of this nutty strip which features Solstice, Beatrice and Audra, along with Sunny from Tim Green‘s Vinnie the Vampire. Zombie Boy, Gorr and Picpak Dog by Kim Belding

I love how Zombie Boy and Picpak Dog are reacting to Gorr in this dizzy delineation by Kim Belding. Kim delivers plenty of zaniness and laughs with his tubby pink dog Picpak, and his blue cat friend, Wakky on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at Picpak Dog. Zombie Boy and Gorr by Don Ahé

One of the things that thrills me the most about doing a webcomic is when an artist I admire and respect illustrates one of my characters. Don Ahé made my day when he informed me that he had created a drawing of Zombie Boy for me. To say I was excited when I saw it would be an understatement! There is such a joy in Don’s line and color that just soaks through everything he does!

Don has truly captured the spirit of classic comics in his thoroughly delightful online strip, Road Apples Almanac. Aldous Otter escaped a stressful and mysterious past and found refuge on a farm in the country, together with his faithful canine Shep, and a rooster named Doc. Don has crafted a wonderful adventure that updates three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Road Apples Almanac is an all-ages strip that has something to delight everybody!
