When we last left Zombie Boy, he and his terrapin pal jettisoned themselves out of a terrarium completely overrun with angry, territorial Aqua Monkeys. I will be returning to the “Reverse Curse” storyline this month, but in the meantime enjoy this delightful delineation by John Wright. John really captured the angst of Zombie Boy in his cursed half frog, half rat state! You can begin reading the “Reverse Curse” storyline here.

Crazyverse creator, Jon Esparza recently conducted the seventh installment of his famous Crazy Cartoon Experiment and this time around, Zombie Boy and crew got to participate. This Experiment had a “Turn Your Characters Into a Demented Parade Balloons” theme and it included many wonderful creators amongst its contributors. I thought a Gorr balloon might make a fun parade balloon and put this piece together for Jon. To see all of the CCE #7 art click here.

He’s an immortal warlock with pitch black eyes and a mustache that could cut glass who wants nothing more than to wreak total mayhem upon an unprepared world. Known by many names (most of which I wouldn’t be able to post here due to the obscene nature of the vocabulary) he’s commonly referred to by those who fear him as Walter the Wicked. Mike Hearn concocted this magical megalomaniac and unleashed him upon the world at his website Walter the Wicked.

Mike is a super talented creator with an inventive and inimitable style, and also a swell guy who generously created this special Gnoblin gift based on Zombie Boy. It is accompanied with a sacred scroll which also curses Goblin Boy to serve the Wicked One for eternity! Thoughtful, ain’t it?

The Zarfling Exhibit

Travis Blair, creator and writer of The Zarf, put together an interesting experiment called the Zarfling Exhibit. According to Travis, “Zarflings are creatures that illustrate the range of emotions we all feel on a given day. Their habitats represent seasons, which affect the moods of many of us. Zarflings and their habitats have been ‘discovered’ by several talented webcomic artists.”

Travis collaborated with eight comic artists, who each chose a basic emotion and drew a monster that would embody that emotion. The Zarflings are shown in their mild, basic and intense emotional stages. It’s a very interesting concept with some great art. Go check it out.
