This is especially important to those who don’t like to mix their food. When I was growing up I had a friend who was so compartmentalized he couldn’t stand the peas getting into the potatoes sort of thing. Me, I just shovel it all in as fast as possible.
So a vegetable medley of peas, carrots, potatoes, and green beans doesn’t bother you? But heaven forbid your salad dressing spills over into your baked beans!!
My wife thinks I’m weird because I eat my food one part at a time, especially breakfast food. I can’t eat anything with my eggs, and they must be eaten first before I move along to the next thing, saving pancakes for last. 🙂
Thanks, Alecho. One year, whew, that’s a lot of dedication there. So how long has AmericanOtaku been running now? I think you just had your year anniversary as well?
Congrats on one year. Being consistent is a great trait to have in webcomics. I hope to follow your example.
Thanks, Brian. It’s a tough road to haul, especially when the only satisfaction you get you give to yourself. Good luck with keeping those deadlines!
I am the same way. I like to eat all of one thing before going to the next.

I still prefer to eat my food in sectioned plates. If my gravy touches my tossed salad, I go ballistic. Yes, it’s true. 🙂
That’s so funny! I can just imagine you at Thanksgiving! Lol.
That is the thing. I either eat it separate or I have to mix it all together into a mess and then eat it together.
Either way is fine with me. No matter what combination it enters, it all comes out the same place.
I know somebody who does this! They can’t eat food all mixed together. I’m not sure how they’d cope with a stir-fry. 🙂
There’s a sort of Zen-ness to eating that way, I guess. I don’t have that kind of patience, I just want to EAT it.
I can deal with blended foods if they’re already blended or supposed to be that way.

Uni-tasking can be so under appreciated!
That’s true. The only problem is, multi-tasking is a requirement when you do webcomics. I know you know what I mean!
I used to do this a lot more when I was a kid. Now I mix it up more, as you know from our many Joe’s excursions.
For me, it’s important to get it all down as soon as possible, in whatever combination that that entails….

Haha. Maybe I channeled you in this strip, George! I just thought it was a funny concept, I didn’t think I was imitating life!
I guess it saves getting overwhelmed with flavour confusion.
Maybe he should eat a slice of ginger to clean his palate between each item?
Those KFC Bowls must be like kryptonite to him.
I can just imagine him. WHERE DO I START??
Uni-tasking, and uni-tasting.
That’s true! I bet he would eat all of his chocolate and then move on to the wine gums!
Congrats on one year! We are the lucky ones. Your work is amazing.
Hey Frank, thanks so much. Your work inspires me, so I’m the lucky one as well.
HAHA!
I used to do that 🙂
Uni-tasking is out of the question when you put out a webcomic!
I’m not a master of uni-tasking… but I love eating 😉 btw, congrats on ONE YEAR!! YAY!!!
