Thunder
As rough and gruff as my dog might seem on the exterior, a little lightning and thunder can really shake him up. I guess we can all use a little comfort every now and then.

Haha, my pup sleeps in the bathroom during a storm. She only hogs the bed every calm night of the year! 🙂
My dog does the same thing! I guess there’s comfort in small rooms when there’s a storm outside.
Gorr better claim his part of the bed right away. And by his part of the bed, I mean the WHOLE bed.
You know by the morning, everybody else will be pushed off onto the floor, anyway!
I have two dogs and they both hate thunderstorms!
Pets and storms don’t seem to mix very well.
OMG… bad, bad thunder (for my sleep)
Sleeping when it’s raining is soothing, sleeping when it’s stormy keeps you awake.
Hope he’s got lots of room in that bed!
I have a feeling Zombie Boy is going to wind up sleeping on the floor!
This happened to me this weekend. I couldn’t complain.
Obviously, you love your pet(s) too, Brian! Well done!
My dog barked at fear and only ran away when it barked back! [smirk] [woof]
Nobody out-barks Mother Nature!
My cats are no where to be found during a thunder storm.
They don’t have time for any of those thunder and lightning shenanigans!
Once one gets in…
Open the floodgates!
I need a dog to cower with in a Thunderstorm. Or Earthquake. Seems more likely as I live in LA.
I suggest a big, happy, fuzzy dog that you can really hold on to!
Awww… What a generous guy that Zombie boy is! <3
He’s generous to a fault line, Jande!
Love Gorr’s grateful face in panel 2!
Nothing says grateful like a wagging tongue!
Love the colors on this one Mark.
Thanks Josh. I love purple, but when I put it in a strip it fights with my site’s background color! Hazard of the job, I guess, lol.
When this happens at my house I regret not getting the king-size bed.
There’s always plenty of room in your heart, though.
Invasion of the Scared Little Critters!
That would be the cutest monster movie ever.
So cute, you’ll run screaming is horrific delight!
I hope that’s a big bed, it’s about to get crowded!
I just hope nobody has claustrophic issues!
I hope those creatures don’t snore!
Talk about a racket!
I used to sleep with my cat when I was a kid. He always left me a present in the corner of the room in the morning. 🙂
It’s the thought that counts!
Hahaha! I know the feeling! He’s gonna need a bigger bed. But, I will say that it’s comforting having your loved ones near you during a thunderstorm. 🙂
I guess you’d have to be Zombie Boy to cuddle with a Kimodo Dragon!
One dog I had was scared of thunder, but the other one wasn’t bothered by it at all.
That’s interesting. My dog has to be right at my feet, leaning on me when there’s a nasty storm outside. He just needs to know it’s going to be alright.
Gorr fears something? Impossible.
Every Superman has his Kryptonite.
Cool beans. I got that same fraidy cat dog. This is our zombie strip http://zombielogicblog.blogspot.com/2012/02/single-zombie-female-speed-dating.html
Remind me not to speed date with a zombie, Thomas! Thanks for coming by and commenting!
Oh this brings back so much nostalgia of hearing prairie thunder storms as a kid =D
That sounds fun. I bet you could hear those storms for miles!
That’s the ZOmbie Boy version of me and my cats!
Everybody needs a little TLC, Denny!
Always room for more cuddle buddies!
Can’t get too much cuddling, can we?
Well at least he has someone to keep him warm.
He gets by with a little help from his friends!
My big dog knows how to find a place that fits. My smaller dog spreads all over the bed, like intentionally putting a jigsaw puzzle piece in the wrong way.
The little ones are the most potent! I can totally see that jigsaw effect in my mind, Warren, haha!
Beautifully atmospheric colouring, sir.
Very envious of your eye for colour.
It’s spot on.
ROLFE
I’m glad you like my color, ROLFE, I’d love to see The Mighty Monocle in glorious color one day!
Wow,..I first learned about this strip last week when checking out Comics Coast to Coast and I really didn’t check it out until just the other day. I wasn’t expecting much as I’m not into “zombie” stuff. Then,…I saw Gorr!!! I absolutely love that character!!!! I was Gobsmacked! I will now continue to peek in every so often just to see what Gorr is up to! Love the strip and love your style! I may like to have you on as a guest on my podcast one day if you’d be so kind to join me. http://boing.libsyn.com/
Hello Todd, I’m more than familiar with your show, I’ve listened to just about all of your podcasts, it’s one of my favorites out there! I’d be honored and quite thrilled to be on it! Gorr always steals every strip he’s in, I have to hold him back sometimes just so I can give some of other characters a little of the limelight, lol. Thanks for your kind comments, and keep tuned, there’s plenty of great Gorr strips coming your way!
Wow,..so YOU’RE the one! I feel great knowing that I doubled my listening audience. (No longer just my mother) LOL!
Thanks for the kind words Mark,….I have a couple more guests in the pipeline that I’m trying to secure,….but I will catch back up with you and see about getting you on the webcast.
I love talking shop with my guests and I try to have a mix of young and older creators on the show to keep it fresh as well as informative.
As for Gorr,…I know EXACTLY what you mean….you DO have to hold back on characters that could easily steal the scenes because that is your ace in the hole. Your characters are all fantastic, but Gorr is one of those characters that cartoonists spend nights “dreaming about having” because you can keep a strong readership with a gem like him all by himself. You have to tease your fans with him and just bring him in every so often as a reward for their loyalty.
Your comments about Gorr are well appreciated. I will tell you it is sometimes very difficult not to feature Gorr in every strip, they are so much fun to write and draw. I guess because the character operates on such a visceral level, a lot of the gags write themselves! Thanks for giving me your perspective on it, it is good, level-headed advice.
As for your podcast interview…bring it on! I can guarantee I won’t be so hard to secure, lol!
Awww… the big tuff puppy wuppy is scared of the li’l ol’ thunder. Funnily enough I have a very similar comic in my draft folder that I drew the other day. Just letting you know in advance so you don’t think I pinched your idea. I can’t even spell playjerism without spell checker…
This is an ongoing situation I find myself in too, occasionally. We’re all one big collective comedy mind.
