Some old time villians enjoyed a good laugh as they struck fear into the heart of the damsel in distress. Some folks laugh nervously when they are frightened. I understand that you mean it is hard to enjoy a good laugh and be scared at the same time, and I agree. For now I’m staying away from any large piles of leaves.
… I might be the only one who see’s something naughty, so I won’t point it out! [wink] [its mist likely just my warped mind]
Annyywhhooo…. the only way I can find my dog outside is when I hear her and the squeak toy making sweet doggie munching music! She’s good at blending in with the landscape! [grin]
Drawing one or two leaves is fun, Jande, but a whole park full can drive you crazy! There’s just no getting around it doing Leaf Bandit strips, unfortunately.
It’s all part of a perfectly planned plot, Mike. Nawww, actually he’s just so stunned that his stealth mode was defective that it took him by surprise. The fall is coming down hard here in Texas, my street is like one big leaf pile, and the colors are the best part!
Colleen, I was very happy with that, I’m so glad you mentioned it. It’s those little touches and expressions that make these strips fun for me. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

They found him! 🙂
It’s all a ploy to draw them in close before he pounces. Er.. ok, maybe not…
Oh, don’t say that. You’re one mean leaf bandit, you just need a different approach. Very funny. 8)
He needs to recalibrate his scare tactics. Thanks, Pensador!
Yeah, leaves are supposed to crunch not squeak! 🙂
There’s no doubt Gorr prefers the squeak to the crunch!
Ah, the best laid plans ….
He just wanted to double his pleasure, that’s all. Squeaking and Banditry are two of his favorite things!
This could be a good opener for a horror story.
Fall is the most fright-friendly time of year.
Until it snows and he is stuck that way.
The best laid plans of devil dogs and men…
Instant Classic!
Glad you like it, J.P.! I enjoy making Lead Bandit strips.
Haha, it all just seems less menacing when you’re cute!
I’m sure if the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse were adorable and riding on My Little Ponies, it would be a very whimsical End of Days!
Yes, the phrase ” die laughing ” would be quite literal.
It’s hard to strike fear and laugh at the same time.

Villains always seem to be having more fun than heroes, no wonder they laugh! It’s always easy to laugh when it’s not happening to you!
You captured the sound of those toys perfectly!
I’ve heard enough of them, Bill. My pug Pooj probably has a sample of every squeaky toy made by modern man!
Squeaky toys always seem like a good idea at the time, but get old fast!
Squeaky toys have a pleasure factor of about five minutes.
Yes! I know what this means!
That’s why ninjas don’t carry chew toys.

She’s perfected the fine art of hide and squeak.
The squeaky toy kinda gives it away. Take the squeaker out Gorr & you can go incognito again
Don’t worry he will chew that squeaker out eventually! And probably eat it, too!
Ah, to live in a world with squeaky leaves…that would be paradise for Gorr! 🙂
He would be in devil dog heaven!
Gorr needs a silent squeaky.
It will get silent if he chews it enough.
That’s got to be the most non-menacing adorable devil-dog in the universe! LOL
(Have fun drawing all those tiny little leaces, Mark?) ;`)
*leaves* >.>

It seems that someone has found the Leaf Bandit’s weakness!
“Know yourself and you will win all battles.” – Sun Tzu
“And don’t bring a squeaky toy to the hunt.” – Me
It’s all part of the trap. They’ll be all “what’s that squeaking?” and then BAM! Slobber city.
The fall colors look great. Something I miss living in California.

Always love seeing the leaf bandit. It is that time of year.
Falling leaves are like the Leaf Bandit’s call to arms!
Ha I like the squeeky toy in the last frame

I love the colors. It really feels like fall.
Thanks, Josh. I do love the autumn colors. The leaves are just exploding with color around my part of the world right now.
Oh Gorr when will you learn to be sneakier? Good boy! 😛
Gorr is not just a devil dog, he is also an impulse.
I’ve never hidden in a pile of leaves like that before! Sure looks like fun.
I used to do that when I was a kid. Love the sound of crunching leaves!
