If I never see one of those car insurance commercials again, I’ll be perfectly happy. You know the ones with the little animated lizard who goes on and on about how a few minutes could save you blah, blah, blah. It’s like if you’re going to buy insurance, it’s got to be from an animated character or no one takes it serious. I imagine the creative team who came up with this long-worn-out concept hope that eventually the character will become part of the lexicon of American culture, right alongside Santa Claus, and the Easter Bunny. And if not, don’t worry, they’ll run it another 30 or 40 years until it finally does.

I keep hoping that little lizard will get smooshed in a door frame or accidentally stepped on, or, if the fates could be so kind, run over by a lawnmower. This strip was a bit cathargic really, I got some of that out of my system.
