Getting to Know You
Today we begin a journey that takes us back to the dawn of time – the Gorraceous Age – and we get to witness the first dog, a distant ancestor of Gorr. I hope you like this little departure from the everyday world of Zombie Boy and the gang.
A single-panel Zombie Boy! My kind of funny! 😉
Single panel toons are a rarefied art form, not for the feint of heart, and you are a master at them, Lonnie! Thanks for stopping by!
Not that intimately
The funk of forty million years!
Oooh I agree with Lonnie! I’m impressed that you made that joke in a single panel! AMAZING!
Thanks Sareen. You should try it, I know you’d come up with something good!
I’m also loving the prehistoric banner 😀
Appreciate that, Sareen. It was an experiment, and I’m happy with how it came out.
hahaha awesome to still retain all the information he needs to know that past.
That’s millions of years of smell he’s getting there!
They don’t get much better than this, a Gorr Classic.
Gorr nose where to find the joke!
Love it! The apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree.
Wouldn’t Gorr look good with a set of those horns?
I love the new title bar!
Thanks Brian!
I have nothing more to say, other than I love Gor. Looking forward to the Gor mini saga you have planned out.
Thanks Saeed. Your support is greatly appreciated!
[standing ovation] …. this particular comic, over all others…. whatever the prize may BE… you WON!
Aww, thanks, Jynskie! Wouldn’t you just love to adopt a Gorrosaurus puppy?
In a heartbeat! Shaking an urn doesn’t have the same effect as clanking bones! [wait-WHAT] o.O
I’m sure baby Gorrosaurus are cute, but those horns are probably tough on the furniture.
There’s no point Gorr… that Gorrosaurus is x-stinked!
Hawhaw, that’s brilliant Jerry!
PHEW! Good thing this museum doesn’t have coprolites (and if you don’t know what coprolites are…look it up and learn something!).
Just back from Google – oh my, I guess anything can become a fossil eventually! There’s a joke buried in there I’m just gonna HAVE to use, Aidan. Learned something new today, thanks!
Another Gorr-tastic strip! Love it!
I’m happy you like it Marieke! I hope you like the Gorraceous Age, too!
I bet the Gorrosaurus was one of the top Dinosaurs, just like Gorr is a top dog today!
He was known as the terrifying Tinkle Lizard.
I thought Gorr would have been more interested in al the bones.
Who would want to eat their own great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandad?
Depends on how tasty they are.
You’d have to have some extra strong teeth to chew those bones!
There is some old smelly bones. 🙂
To you and me they’re old and smelly. To Gorr it’s like Ancestry.com!
Funny to imagine what the Gorrosaurus looked like in all their glory! Maybe, one day, your awesome imagination will show us, Mark!
It’s funny, Tim. I’ve only imagined one as a skeleton, lol! I might have to do something about that!
Make no bones about it, he’s a funny-loookin’ specimen. 🙂
I need to bone up on my dinosaur knowledge, because I’d never heard of a Gorrosaurus until I invented one.
I really don’t want to know my ancestors that well.
LOL. Binky you made me laugh out loud.
What do demon butts smell like?
Mortal men will never know the answer to that question, James. None who have tried have ever lived to tell…
There’s only so much you can learn from sniffing the butt of a skeleton though 😉
Oh, you’d be surprised. There’s 40,000,000 years worth of info in there somewhere!
The sweet smell of success!
Not sure about the sweet part Spencey, lol.
Off to a colourful start. What a treasure that panel is! My money is on Gorr being able to smell right down to the DNA level. That aught to take him back a bit. lol And like I said on twitter, I, too, love your new banner.
Gorrrreat job! ;`)
Ahh Jande, thanks so much! I’m very enamored with your painterly work myself. so coming from you that’s a real compliment! As for the DNA level, you’re right. And this isn’t the only time Gorr has smelled some really old bones, check this out. Gorrrreat? Love it!
Oh! I remember that one. Love the ghostly images of Gorrs-gone-by! <3
I had forgotten about that one until you reminded me, Jande.
Mark this panel is absolutely gorgeous!! Poster quality stuff!
I appreciate your kind words, Jenn. They mean a lot to me.
Gorr’s ancestor look even cooler than he does. Great joke too by the way.
It’s the horns. Anything looks cooler with horns! I’m glad you like the joke, Josh.
That’s pretty good knowing where to sniff on a skeleton.
It’s the dog’s version of a hand shake.
Cool skeleton!
He is Gorrosaurus, the terrible Tinkle Lizard. Can you guess what his weapon is? (hint: it’s not the horns)
Gorr came from dinosaurs? Makes him even more relatable
There is conjecture as to exactly where Gorr came from, but I’m going with this theory for now.
I love the idea of this (I’m a sucker for anything prehistoric) and your drawings are as ace as ever. So much fun.
You and me both, Becky. Big fan of dinosaurs and I get a real thrill every time they discover a new extinct species. The time between the last age of the dinos and man also fascinates me.
I’m reading Bill Bryson’s ‘A Short History Of Nearly Everything’ at the moment and it’s packed full of prehistoric info. I’m a full on dino geek 🙂
That sounds like a fun book. I’m the same way, Becky! I’m galvanized by any article or television program relating to dinos. Just read about dinosaur fleas. Ain’t that a kicker?
