This comic just got flakey. I’ll never be able to watch snow fall without hearing the flakes scream on the way down. It created an image related to snow like the shower scene from Psycho.
And there’s 800,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 more where that came from!
My mistake (I just looked it up too). I confused it with a painting my sister asked me to do of those bears dancing in a circle with Mickey Mouse. 😉
Somebody has been studying their art – we have a winner! I’ve always wanted to do something based on Matisse’s La Danse, so now I’m happy. Thanks for the super nice words about this strip, Joseph!
I think it beats being left in a pile of other flakes waiting to defrost into oblivion, P.J. Dang, a snowflake has a rough life, now that I think about it…
Wonder what it says about my “edumacation” that I immediately thought Dead Bears & struggled with (& never quite got) La Danse??? 🙂 Eh, it’s ok, I love bears!!
You can’t help but like those dancing Dead bears, Judy! I only know La Danse because I studied Matisse some time ago and became familiar with some of his work. It’s fun and colorful.
Drifting to his doom!
Curse you, winds of fate!
Ack! Quick, put the snow breaks on!
Poor little guy doesn’t even have his snowshoes on!
Haha! I just have to comment today – this genuinely made me laugh out loud. Well done.
Thanks so much, Spencey. That means a lot!

It will chill your blood!
Frosted SnowFlakes. They’re Great!

Answer, Grateful Dead Dancing Bears. 😉
Very cute snowflakes Mark!
I had to look that one up, Bill. Love those bears! That’s not it, but they are adorable! Thanks about the snowflakes!

You can’t go wrong with psychedelic dancing bears!
Oh Zombie Boy! I bet it was a nice treat though.
First taste of winter!
La Danse by Henri Matisse, 1910!
This is a great strip, Mark! Creative, inventive and funny! :O)

Death of a snowflake. What a way to go. Ghastly.
I think it beats being left in a pile of other flakes waiting to defrost into oblivion, P.J. Dang, a snowflake has a rough life, now that I think about it…
You really got me to laugh out loud on that one, Mark! Four genius panels!
The short and tragic life of a snow flurry! Glad you enjoyed it, Wouter!
Whoa, I see the next great horror movie in this strip! Call the movie studios! The horror! The horror!!
It will be the shortest horror feature in movie-making history, Chris!
This is why it’s always better to be one of the herd.
It’s a snowy Serengeti, and ZB’s tongue is a hungry cheetah!
Snowflakes.. They go in white and come out yellow.
It’s alchemy, Eric! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
The circle of life…
That feels like my life sometimes, Mat!
Payback is brain freeze
On a microscopic level!
In snow land this is exactly what their horror movie trailers look like!
I imagine a tongue is an urban legend for most snowflakes.
Gobbled up in his prime.
I read a poem on a blog the other day that referred to snowflakes as the Ghosts of Fallen Leaves. I thought it was a lovely way to describe them.

I like that interpretation, Tony. Very visual.
Yummie!
Snowflakes are like Chinese food. Fifteen milliseconds later, you’re hungry again!

That was the most horrifying 4 panel strip ever!
And imagine all those papillae on his tongue all magnified… ewwww!
