I saw a gull once swallowing a whole sausage. Not the huge kind, but somewhat larger than a hot dog. It seemed to be having a hard time “passing it in” but it eventually did and flew away.
know fact (i just made up): All dogs taste their food with their stomachs, hence why they don’t bother chewing but just want to get it in there fast as possible.

I’ve actually felt sorry for birds when I see them try to swallow a chunk of bread much bigger than their beak. Talk about more than a craw full!
Why chew when you can cram it down faster. 🙂 You can lead a dog to his bowl but you better get clear when he starts slinging the food.

I always wolf down my food, which leaves me feeling WAY too full at times. I’m usually already full one helping before I stop.
