There’s a message in there somewhere about the need to magnify our self image or maybe there’s just something fun about scaring the crap out of little bugs.
When you see your eyelashes the size of tree trunks, I don’t see how you couldn’t have a straight shot to see your brain! I can’t look at my face in one now, it’s waay too scary!
I’d have commented an hour ago, Mark, but it took me this long to scroll to the bottom of your comments section. : ) Fun strip. And you’re not kidding about those magnifying mirrors. Terrifying what things look like up close. -v

He suffers from little bird syndrome, J.P.!
Nothing that cannot be solved with MOAR POWER!
One can never have too much of that!
Halloween should last more than one night. A whole week would make more sense.
A whole month of Halloween would work!
That was flippin’ hilarious!
See you on the flip side, Tim!
He’s ready for his close up!
He saw his chance and he took it!
Fear factor magnified to the Nth degree!
I can see the parasites on him, Mark! :OP Very funny and adorable!
At least he’s not seeing all his pores like I do when I use one. Yuck!
I’m weird but I have always enjoyed squeezing my pores! Double yuck! :OP
In a magnifying mirror that probably looks like squeezing toothpaste out of the tube…
Haha! I used to love those mirrors – I would tell my mother I could see all the way up to my brain.

No reflection on your artwork, but I guess it all depends on how one looks at it. I never suspected that the birdie had teeth.
It’s all a matter of perspective. And magnification! That bird comes from a very long line of toothed birds, check it out here.
It may take a little patience Zombie Bird, while you teach and mentor little Zombie Bug.
Spooking is a tough job!
I would run too. Those teeth look scary!
They’re just ridges on his beak, but magnified it can be terrifying!
Objects in mirror are less scary than they appear!
Although some objects would like to think not…
You’re gonna need a bigger mirror!
To match his scare prowess!
The dark side of the mirror!
Through a glass snarkly!
Going through Halloween without a good scare is like going through Christmas without a present. 😉
Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas is to be scared so good it’ll turn my hair white like yours…
Evil mirror fun! I want one!
This ain’t no funhouse mirror!
Now if he could just bring that mirror along with him everywhere he goes!
If you need props to be scary, you’re not a professional spook!
The mirror doesn’t lie, but it does stretch the truth.
The truth is always unproportionate, Gruhn.
My, what big teeth you have.
The better to scare you with!

I just can’t look at my face that close. Pores looking like the surface of a Whack-a-Mole machine? I’d rather not… thanks! Thanks, Vince!
That does seem to be the scarier side of the mirror!
The flip side was just a bit too normal.
Awww… Poor little buggy wuggy got all scaredyfied
Even cold blood can run cold!
