The cartoon at the top by Maurice Ketten from 1918 reminds me of a similar strip I created back at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, which I posted below. It is interesting to note how the concept stays true and how two different cartoonists over a span of 100 years came to the same punchline. Ketten was referring to the Spanish Influenza pandemic of 1918, and I was referencing the Covid pandemic happening right now.

It’s interesting to see how a cartoon from over a hundred years ago can share the same sentiment today.
