That madman across the water, Daniel Barton, creator of Goober and Cindy and media mastermind behind The Webcomic Show was kind enough to interview me about all things Zombie Boy. We jammered so much that the interview had to be broken up into two parts. If you’d like to hear them, click here.

What’s big and orange with six legs, pink ears and a prickly tongue? Click over to Tales of the Brothers Three and find out! Joshua Hauke asked me to contribute a guest strip for him, and I jumped at the chance to draw Keith, Wayne, Dougie, and, of course, the sock-swallowing Mook! My comic strip drawing hat is off to Josh for his tenacity as a cartoonist, it’s hard enough having to draw one character in each panel, let alone three brothers connected at the hips! My admiration for Josh’s work increased tenfold when I actually had to sit down and draw a strip with the boys in it! Monsters abound in the world of Brothers Three, so I decided I wanted to draw one, too. Thus was born a guest strip. Hop over and check it out! And while you’re at it, peruse Josh’s archives — lots of great adventures await you! “BRAAPPhHOORMPp!!”
Panel from the unpublished Zombie Boy origin comic
In case you were interested in seeing it, here is the cast of Gilligan’s Island as shrunken heads panel from the unpublished comic book version of Zombie Boy‘s origin story that I mentioned on the Comics Coast to Coast interview. If you want to hear more about it, listen to my interview here.
Zombie Boy by Denver Brubaker
Denver Brubaker is the creator of Tales of a Checkered Man, and co-host of Comics Coast to Coast. Tales of a Checkered Man is a throwback to classic action adventure newspaper comic strips. It follows the adventures of the masked crime fighter known as the Checkered Man as he valiantly attempts to take a stand against crime in Exotic City. The strip made its debut on April 6th, 2010 and updates weekly. Denver presented me with this lively sketch during the time when we recorded my interview on Comics Coast to Coast, and I am thrilled to share it with you. Thanks, Denver!

Zombie Boy by Sean McLean
Sean McLean is the author/artist/instigator of Underwhelmed, a spiffy comic that chronicles the adventures of tubby, red-headed Doyle, and his nerdy friend Gunther. Sean and I are Twitter friends and I was tremendously surprised and honored when he said he had drawn Zombie Boy, and I absolutely love his drawing! Sean updates Underwhelmed each week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
